CONGRATULATES SCIENTISTS FOR SUCCESSFUL TEST FLIGHT OF AGNI-II (PIB 17-Jan-2001)
The Prime Minister, Shri Atal Behari Vajpayee congratulated scientists
and engineers of Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO)
for the successful test flight of AGNI-II this morning. Shri Vajpayee
conveyed his and the nation`s deep appreciation to the DRDO family on
this success. The Prime Minister also telephonically congratulated the
Scientific Adviser to Defence Minister, Dr. V K Aatre at Interim Test
Range, Chandipur, Orissa on this singular achievement. This follows Defence
Minister, Shri George Fernandes informing the Prime Minister of the successful
launch of AGNI-II.
